The Compliance and Anti-Fraud strategy 2019 – 2023 builds on the strong results from the previous Compliance and Anti-Fraud Strategy for the years 2014 to 2018, which are shown in Appendix 2.

In order to protect the integrity of the system and ensure that we continue to target available supports to those who need it most, it is essential to combat social welfare fraud and error. The strategic objectives give a clear focus to the approach of the Department in tackling fraud and non-compliance over the next 5 years.
